Subject: Ken Eastman wife & Russ Card
Hello Paul,
I just received a call from Carl Dobrzynski who got a call from Ken Eastman
that his wife, Rose, who was in a Grand Rapids Hospital in rehab for a month,
past away probably yesterday. Ken’s wife, Rose, also suffered from a stroke.
She’ll have a funeral Tuesday in Montrose where the Eastman’s lived at one
time.
Also, Russell Card is in St. John Hospital of Warren with pneumonia. If you
didn’t know, Russ is a WWII veteran & spent a couple of years in China
avoiding the Japs in aircraft maintanence. Russ is 87 years old. I went to see
him yesterday, but he was out of it. He doesn’t look good. A little over a week
ago, Russ was walking with a walker and fell down the kitchen steps and cut &
bruised himself badly. From there Russ went to past week and now back in St.
John Hospital with pneumonia.
I will keep you informed,
Jim Hill
