        TUREK, Fred, Jr.
Age 77. Passed away January 21, 2019 after losing his short battle with cancer. Fred 
was born in Clarkston, MI to Fred Sr. and Hazel (Allen) Turek. Fred is survived by his 
loving wife, Carol, of nearly 52 years along with his daughter Melissa (Scott) Pinar, Son 
Rick (Jody) Turek, his grandchildren; Ethan, Ava, and Will along with his siblings; Susan 
Peterson & Mike Turek. After his retirement from General Motors, Fred Spent his time 
as an avid golfer and wood-smith. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in the 
springtime. In lieu of flowers or donations, please practice Fred's motto, "Be a helpful

Sandra (2012). Loving father of Sharon (Leroy) Cadwalder, Barbara (Dan) 
Rathka, Thomas Peters, and Carol Ann (Craig) Whitmore. Proud grandfather 
of Kevin, Caitlin, Taylor, Olivia, Violet, and Rex. Also survived by his dear 
brother of Frederick. Visitation Wednesday 3-9pm with a 7pm Rosary service 
at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd).

        SUHY, Patrick Joseph Sr. "Pat". April 1, 2019. Age 85. Beloved husband of Diane (nee: 
Haas) for 61 years. Loving father of Patrick "Pat" Suhy Jr. (Debbie), Sloan Bayer 
(Greg), Brian Suhy (Carrie) and the late Jean Suhy. Proud and loving grandfather of 
Michael, Sarah, Caleb, Erin, Cole, Evan and Drew. Predeceased by 1 brother and 3 
sisters. Pat proudly served in the United States Army and retired from General Motors in 
1998 after 42 years of service. He enjoyed working at Romeo Golf Course after 
retirement and liked to boat, fish, golf, play cards and bowl. Visitation Saturday 12:30pm 
until time of 5pm memorial service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr 
at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Memorial contributions to the COPD Foundation are

         Charles M. Nusser of Wolverine Lake was born August 12, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. 
He died May 16, 2019 at the age of 88.
Mr. Nusser is the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Gloria A. Nusser (d. 2016). 
Loving father of David Nusser and Donna (Andrew) Blevins.
Mr. Nusser attended St. Vincent grade school and graduated from Cass Technical 
High School in 1948. He joined the Navy after high school and served on the USS 
Shannon and had maneuvers with the Battleship Missouri. He was able to visit 
England, France and Cuba. After his discharge he joined the Air National Guard where 
his he maintained fighter jets. Upon the start of the Korean War his group was sent to 
Luke Air Force Base in Tempe, Arizona.
When his term was over he returned to Detroit and lived in his mother’s rooming house 
where he met the love of his life, Gloria. They dated and married in 1953. They lived in 
apartments at first and then bought a house in Wolverine Lake where they went on to 
live for 44 years.
Chuck worked at the Chevrolet Division of GM for 30 years as a body draftsman and 
was promoted to Senior Design Engineer. After his retirement in 1987 he worked for 
Saturn for 4 years and was head of his engineering group. He retired a second time in 
1991.
The family spent winters at their condo in Naples, Florida. They also visited New 
England and took a cruise to the Bahamas. He and his wife loved to entertain and had 
many family gatherings.
Funeral mass from St. William Catholic Church, 531 Common Street Walled Lake, 
Tuesday 10 AM (In State 9:30 AM). Friends may visit Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 
340 North Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake, (3 Blocks South of Maple Rd.) Monday 4-9 PM. 
Memorials to Angela Hospice appreciated.
        
        
        - - Dick Gray passed away May 31, 2019 at the age of 79. Dick worked for 
Chevrolet Engineering for 39 years. Loving husband of Kathy for 39 years. Beloved 
father Wendy Raskin (Larry), Leslie Gray and Steve Gray (Marina). Devoted 
grandfather of Joseph, Samantha, Trevor, Adam, Chloe, Chase, and Aiden. Family 
will receive friends from 3-8pm on Friday, June 7, at A.J. Desmond and Sons Price 
Chapel, 3725 Rochester Rd., Troy (between Big Beaver and Wattles). Funeral 
Service Saturday 10am in the Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday, June 8, begins 
at 9:30am. Family prefers memorial tributes to the Wounded Warrior Project.

        Obituary for Leon F. VanEden
Leon F. VanEden died September 2, 2019. He was 82 years old. Leon was born on 
October 15, 1936 in Detroit to parents, Martha DeLeeuw and Frank VanEden.
Leon married the love of his life, JoAnn Groth on April 14, 1956; a marriage that would 
span 63 years. Leon worked as a project engineer for General Motors and retired after 63 
years. He received the Boss Kettering Award, helped design the GM Avalanche, and was 
a part of four different patents. Aside from work, Leon enjoyed hunting, traveling, and 
spending summers up north at his family cottage. He will be greatly missed.
Leon is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, JoAnn and his loving children, Lee (April) 
VanEden and David VanEden. He is also survived by his cherished grandson, Garrett, his 
dear sister, Mary Louise (Richard) Polanecki, his niece, Lynn (Tom) Crowell, and his 
cousin, Ed (Helen) VanRossen.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 1368 N. Crooks Road, Clawson, 
Michigan (Between 14-15 Mile Roads) on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 4-8pm.
        
        
         
        Albert Paul Bederka, age 89, of Madison Heights, passed away September 5, 2019. 
Beloved husband of Mary Ruth (née Scanlon). Loving father of the late Christopher, the late 
James (Lori), Robert (Penny), John, Cheryl (David) Zablocki, and Nancy (Troy) Cooprider. 
Dear grandfather to eleven and great-grandfather to eight.
